Lucid Lime 1.0.7 phpBB Style by SeCl4 Lucid Lime 1.0.7 phpBB Style by SeCl4
:star: :star: :star: DOWNLOAD HERE :star: :star: :star:

- - -

Wait, what happened to the other colour schemes?

The four colour variants are no longer included in this package. Instead, please visit the official phpBB website and use the Change Colours tool to get the colour scheme you like. While I realise this may seem inconvenient, having only one style to update allows me to work faster and much more effectively, and also lessens the phpBB validation team's workload--so new revisions are available to users sooner.

For reference, to achieve the previous colour schemes with the new tool, simply select the "Save/Load" option, then paste the appropriate code into the "Load Colors" box:

Balmy Blond: H68fcc14M1h4kl3jO
Playful Pink: H68fcc14M1h1nO
Reckless Red: H68fcc14M3h34s2qO
Tranquil Teal: H68fcc14M1h9hO

Thank you for your understanding.

I like it! Can I use it?

Of course! If you want to use this style on your board, you're free to do so -- you can download it (free of charge and of use) by following the link at the top of this description. :)

What changes in functionality?

- When viewing a topic, profile information is on the left, similar to the subsilver style.
- The online/offline indicator in topic view has been changed to a green/grey vertical bar next to a poster's profile information.

What about the style?

- The overall colour scheme was made dark with lime green accents.
- The user control panel menu was simplified for a cleaner feel.
- All icons were redone to reflect the new colour scheme and the idea of cleanness across the style.

Of course, those are just a few of the things that were modified from the original prosilver style, but they sum up the major points fairly well, I think.

Awesome! How do I get it?

If you like the style, you can access the page on the official phpBB website. From there you can access a demo or customise the style's colour scheme to suit your tastes.

Whether you choose to use it or not, thanks for taking the time to give this a look, and enjoy! ^^

Hi there! Sorry to keep you waiting so long on an answer, I haven't been checking in here much.

I don't plan on updating the style past its current revision (see www.phpbb.com/customise/db/sty…). 3.1.x was a huge change to the styling system and I don't have the time to devote to remaking the style for it unfortunately.

Sorry for the bad news,

Eric

thanks for your work, but you should fix some problems:

should be improved for other languages
- some bottons missing (edit, quote) lucid_lime_1.0.7\imageset\en or de or ...\imageset.cfg -> two files have to be renamed. gif instead of png
- text behind new topic botton not hidden (german)

Hi,

This issue is usually caused by using a language other than US English on your board. You can fix it by either changing the language to US English or installing the right language pack (see here for a few common ones). For more details, see here.

Cheers :)

Hello,

Not sure what you're referencing exactly, but if it's the "Last post" column to the right of each forum, that's a default phpBB feature and should be present on any board setup. If you're talking about something else, you'll have to specify because I can't really tell from the link you posted.

Cheers!

Hi there!

Unfortunately, I can't offer much help in terms of compatibility with third-party mods. If it's just a matter of style, you can take a look at the values in theme/colours.css to see how individual elements are styled and apply that to the social network mod. Otherwise, your best bet is to ask the makers of the mod how to tweak it to reflect a style other than the base prosilver.

Cheers!

Hi there! (Ou bien salut, peut-être?)

If you're using a language pack on your board other than the default British English, you'll need to rename a little folder to get things to display as they should. In this case, assuming you're using a French setup, you'll need to rename imageset/en to imageset/fr. Once that's done, refresh the imageset through your ACP and the images should show up properly.

Let me know how things go :)

I have found several problems trying to fix a background image (mean wallpaper) because the same image appears as background in the panel, i mean i have two background images, a big one and another one, smaller, inside it... so dizzy ;)

Any idea or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Hi there! Sorry for the belated response.

There are quite a few different layers going on in prosilver-based styles, so I think I understand what you mean. To be specific, which class did you modify to add the background image?

Here's hoping we can get this problem solved as soon as possible (or as soon as possible as of this post, the lateness of which I again apologise for). :)

Hi there!

The logo is only a placeholder image, along the same vein as the phpBB logo in the prosilver style, so you can absolutely replace or remove it altogether.

Replacing it is essentially just a matter of replacing the imageset/site_logo.png file with the logo you want to use (you have to keep the same filename, though, so call the logo site_logo.png before moving it to the imageset folder), then making a few changes in some stylesheets and one of the template files. It'd be a bit of a lengthy process to describe here, but if you're interested, you can follow the steps here to either replace or remove the logo. (Note that the guide is intended for the prosilver style, so you may not find the exact pieces of code they tell you to look for--instead, find the descriptor they indicate, i.e. ".headerbar {" instead of that and a bunch of attributes underneath it.)

how can i edit the CSS to keep the forum from breaking? when you squash the window it will allow the avatars to go into the post area. i want o make it stop before it sends the avs off. for peopel on netbooks or smaller rez monitors the style looks broken. a fixed width or stoping earlier would fix it. i couldnt figure out how to make that happen.

also, i found a bug and fixed it. if you leave the forum description width set at "auto" it will allow it to break the style and send the search bar down form the header into the >board index bar

I changed it to "400" and it keeps it from breaking the style. i had a really long forum description, now it all fits and doenst make the search bar go of the header.

great styles, thanks.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with larger avatar sizes. However, given the case, I don't intend to rework the code behind the profile section. If you look at the vanilla prosilver style, you'll see that it has the same problem--just on the right of the post instead of the left. The issue is that prosilver has an inherent semi-liquid layout, so placing the profile section to the left as I've done makes everything shift when the bug comes up, whereas prosilver's layout means that while the avatar itself overlaps the boundaries of its box, it does not move anything else in doing so.

Essentially, given that this bug is inherited from the original prosilver style, I don't feel it is an urgent issue, and as such I don't currently plan on fixing it. If this is an issue for you, I'm afraid I have to suggest that you reduce the maximum size permitted for user avatars, or, alternatively, pick a style that displays profile information to the right of posts, since that will largely negate the issue. (I don't mean that in any kind of sarcastic or mean way, by the way; I hope you don't take it that way. ^^;)

Thanks for letting me know about the search bar dropping off the header--I honestly missed that when testing the style. Off the top of my head, I don't know if I can fix it easily, seeing as the content of the box itself will vary from board to board, but I'll see what I can do about it for the next release. :)

sure thing, i just didnt know if you could tell me where the CSS to specify a stoppoing min imum width of the board is loacated. i tried.

#wrap {
padding: 0 20px;
min-width: 650px;
}

and changing "650" but it didnt seem to do anything at all.

it works fine in full screen, even with 200avs, its just when you try to do it ina minimized window it gets jacked up.

as for the forum titles, yea, changing it to 400 seemed to work just fine. it made the long lines of text go down to the next row, so it all fit.

anyways, thanks, but if you know how to set the min width when rezizing the whole forum, or to jsut makeit a fixed width then let me know. thanks.

So you're saying that when you shrink the screen enough, the board expands beyond the window and you get a horizontal scroll bar? If so, that's the behaviour that the min-width parameter sets--it stops the box in question from becoming any less wide than 650px, in this case. I'm not really sure what you're asking for, though: what kind of result are you aiming to get? I'd like to help, but I'm just not sure what the desired effect is. ^^;

no, when you make the window smaller, by the time the horizontal scroll bar pops up the avatars have already went over the line that seperates the poster info from the topic. so they spill over top of the words in the topic. here is an image.

[link]

it seems liek the line that seperates the poster info and avatar stops at like 5 pixels wider than a 100px avatar. so with a 100px avatar it wont let the avs flood over. as you can see, with a 200px av they flow over into the topic. i would like to figure out how to get that line to stop at more than 200px. so that even if you keep making your brower window smaller it wont break the design.

ok, when i change it to "1080" it stops it in the right spot from flowing over. but it also makes the scroll bar come up pretty fast so there really isnt much of a point to it.

i guess i woul like for it to still size down to 650, but never let the avatars flow over into the topic, and if it needs more room the text will continue to jsut flow down making the topic taller.

here is my edits.
[link]

so look like that but scale to the smaller orignal size of 650. make the divider like 220 away from the online indicator, so it leave a 10px gap on each side of the avatar.

hopefully this clears it up, i know im not very good at describing my problems. and you can see why i couldnt figure it out. i tried editing different lines and couldnt get it right.

I do see what you mean. Sorry for the misunderstanding earlier, by the way. In any case, expanding the minimum width of the entire board seems a bit of an inelegant solution to me, but if it works for your needs as well as your users', then it should be good. I've only played around with the parameters for a few minutes, but it looks like getting something more efficient implemented--ideally, a setup that will affect only the size of the profile box on small displays rather than the whole board--would take more work than just some changes made at midnight here and there. If it's any consolation, though, you can always use the overflow attribute to avoid having to add a huge minimum width to the board, although the compromise there is that large avatars will only be partially shown on smaller resolutions (for example, using the overflow: hidden; attribute would ensure that there's no overlap of the postbody text, but it would also cut off the section of the avatar that's too large for its box).

Maybe there's a totally obvious solution here that doesn't compromise like the two here, but if so, I'm too tired right now to find it. Here's hoping you find a solution to the problem you're experiencing sooner or later, though--if I think of anything, I'll be sure to let you know. :)

This version of the style is compatible with 3.0.8, but I'm working on getting an update out the door for it to be usable with the newest stable version of phpBB (3.0.9). No other changes will be implemented in the update, so you can decide whether to upgrade to 3.0.8 and use the current style or wait for the next revision in order to implement 3.0.9.

I'm not sure; it was never intended to be used with older versions of the phpBB software, so I never tested it on them. The error you're seeing may be a result of running the style on an older phpBB revision, or it may be something else entirely. In any case, I wouldn't recommend using it on versions other than those it was designed for, just to avoid headaches like that.
